The Healthy Selfishness and Pathological Altruism Scale: Adaptation into Turkish and Validity and Reliability Study

Selfishness and altruism are two concepts of paradoxical nature. Examination these according to individuals cultures may provide a better understanding the structure in question. In this study, it was aimed adapt Healthy Pathological Altruism Scale (Kaufman & Jauk, 2020) into Turkish conduct validity reliability study. Before proceeding main study conducted with group 122 (84 women 38 men) adults get preliminary information about scale. The research consisted 570 (392 female, 178 male) adults. two-factor scale confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. selfishness positively related self-love, self-efficacy, altruism, whereas pathological had negative relationship altruism. Cronbach's alpha coefficient .95 for healthy .91 As result, all findings showed that is valid reliable measurement tool.
